It's been a while!

Time is flying by! Elias is almost 6 months old now, Brittan is becoming such a big girl ( well as big as an almost 2 year old can be!). They both look so different then they did in the last pictures I posted.
We had a relaxing Thanksgiving with my family and we were actually able to do some real shopping at other stores than wal-mart. Mike and I went to town all by ourselves for 5 hours! That's the longest we've been together without the kids in over 6 months!!! and the longest I've been away from Elias ever!! It was GREAT!!
The biggest mistake of the trip was leaving Elias's bed at home. Which left Me sleeping with him in the bed and Mike and Brittan sleeping on the couch together. Needless to say we were VERY excited to sleep in our own bed WITHOUT any kids!
We are planning to be home for Christmas. Mike has a HS retreat in Sunriver the 29th thru the 1st. I haven't decided if the kids and I will go to my parents during that time or not. Sometime in January we are going to Estacada to see family, and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone.
The Woodruff boys are here for a few days while their parents are in china so Mike's computer will be @ home for them to "Skype", so I'm hoping to post some pic's while I can.

PICTURES!!

4th of July
playing with the camera with daddy
He is actually latched on but she thinks it's a good kiss!

Helping mommy cook!

This was the day Brittan decided she isn't afraid of the water.

Just swinging in "Pine"

Cheese!

Weeks Before the hair cut!!

Elias Michael

Elias
Born June 16
7lb 1oz 21 inches
This is our first family picture. (not a great one of me but everyone else looks good!)
Everyone is getting along great. Brittan loves "Y" but does get a little jealous sometimes. When we go out she introduces him to everyone who looks her way. She spent 4 days at my parents house last week and she had a great time. Elias was a little thrown off with out her constant entertainment, and we were all so excited when it was time to pick her up!

Elias has already had his first hair cut and if you can't tell by the pic he has the same cowlics as his daddy! He is so cute. He looks like a little old man!

Doctor Doctor!!

Brittan and I have each gone to the doctor this week. I had a regular check up for the baby and everything was "perfect". Next week I start going in once a week until delivery! YEAH!!! As much as I get tired of going to the doctor so often I know that it just means that the due date is getting closer and closer!! Just over 1 month left.:)

Brittan's appointment was today and it also went really well. He said that size wise she's very balanced and is in about the 75th % for height, weight and head size. Which is down from 95th% where she has always been before. But no worries since everything is on the same level :). The biggest news was that we have to wait another 3 months to find out if she has to have surgery on her belly button or not. After feeling the hernia he said that he thinks there is a good chance that it could close up on it's own before then, and that the hole it's self doesn't feel that big. So please pray that it does so she won't have to have the surgery. The surgery it's self isn't the scary thing it's that she will have to be put totally under for it.

Well I should go wake Mike up so he can go lift weights :)
Hope to write again soon!!! Let me know you stopped by ;)

I am a SLACKER!!!

When I logged onto the blog I couldn't believe that it has been OVER A MONTH since I posted last. Sorry to anyone who has been checking regularly. Though I don't think anyone does.

Well to bring you up to speed... Brittan has a whole mouth full of teeth and is trying to say almost anything. Yesterday she and I were driving home listening to a sermon and every once in a while I heard her repeating words that he was saying on the radio, It was very funny. Her favorite thing to do is to read books and to be read to. ALL DAY LONG! thankfully Teri gave her a few new books and we have had a break from Hop On Pop and Go Dog Go. Now it's counting and shape books. She is starting to get the concept of the #2 she holds up her 2 pointer fingers and says "TWO" (with puckered up lips), and the other day I was holding two cartons of milk and she ran up and said two and then mooed like a cow. She is a character!

Mike is doing great! They are starting the "30 Hour Famine" today and he is really looking forward to it. The kids seem to really be excited about it, they have worked hard at raising $ all by themselves. With the end of the school year fast approaching Mike is getting ready for the summer. He has camp, family camp, rafting trip, weekly youth group and a few other things on the calender. He will be busy like usual but has been mindful in his planning that the baby will be here in June, so that will be his slow month.

I'm feeling great! Tired but great! The baby is measuring perfectly and all is well. I have a feeling that he will be bigger than Brittan was though. It may just be that I forgot how big I was with her, but I can't imagine continuing getting bigger for another month and 1/2 . The other day mike looked at me and said "wow you are REALLY pregnant". When I looked at him I think he realized what he said or that he said it out loud and we both just started laughing.

The weather has been gorgeous here this week. We actually went out and bought a small pool for Brittan this morning and she loves it. I'll post pictures of her playing in it and of our latest trip to the beach SOON!

Thank you to everyone that gave us baby gifts ( and Brittan gifts although she thinks they are all for her:) ). It was so nice to see everyone on our last trip home. Just let us know if any of you are headed this way we would love to see you. Thanks again for everything!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

New Pictures!!

Relaxing with a good book in the back seat on the way to Grandma and Grampo's.
She actually read this book to herself for about 20 minutes.

Spring Break at Grandma and Grampo's house!
She had much more fun in the snow this time!

This was last time in December the beginning of the snow fall!

Easter 2008
Brittan looks so grown up in this picture (other than no teeth).

This is one of her favorite things todo in the nursery,
Rock herself in the big rocking chair and play the "piano".
I was bad and only took a few pictures of her dressed up on Easter :(
Amy if you have any will you send them my way?

Well life is back to normal around here. Mike's back to work. Brittan is back on her schedule and sleeping through the night (She didn't while we were at my parents house, THANKS for giving up you bed Jen!). I'm finally caught up on the house (kind of), and am getting ready to start finishing Brittan's blanket I started at my parents. Thanks for your help Mom. When it's done I'll post some pictures.
I'm excited for the womens retreat coming up this weekend. Mike will have Brittan all by himself for two nights!! And it will be the longest I've been away from Her. I'm looking forward to it. If you have any advice for Mike, or me for that matter, leave it in the comments section! I would love to hear what you all have to say!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Spring Break!!!

We have had a fun spring break!
Mike is now on his way home from California, and seems to have had a great time. From what he has said the whole group is pretty exhausted. Brittan and I are still at my parents house. We had planned on going home today but 12 new inches of snow are keeping us here for 1 more night. It's a bumber that we won't be home to see Mike when he gets there. Brittan just started talking about Mike yesturday, she walked all around the house pretending to talk to him on her cell phone. She would say "Hello" (new word this week) "Dad" and then bable on. It was very cute!!

I will try to post again in the next few days with more details of our trips.

Broken Glasses!!

Well, much has happend since I posted last. Mike is back from California and had a wonderful time at the Shepards Conferance, He said it was the best that he's ever gone to. I had a lot of fun watching the live stream online, it was fun to see and hear the speakers. I was convicted and excited about God's word.

As for the title of this post... after I finished writing last time I played with Brittan and Mike for the rest of the evening and we ended the night with family snuggle time on the couch. Some of you may not remember what it's like snuggling with a one year old... in the prossess of Brittan wiggling around attempting to do who knows what... She sat on my face and broke my glasses!! I have sucessfuly been able to superglue them back together (a few times) and they seem to work fine. You could pray that they last until after the baby is born since it's not recomended to get new perscriptions while your pregnant.

Anyway, we are all now enjoying the next week or so until Mike heads off to California again and Brittan and I go to visit my parents.
Until next time.
~Katy

P.S. Yesturday was Mike's birthday and we all had a great day. Thanks to everyone who call to wish him a good day.

First post on the new site!!

I'm glad that you have found our new location. I hope that this site will be easier to update than the last.

Things around here are always busy. We are having a ton of fun trying to keep up with Brittan. Right now she and Mike are building a fort out of furniture and blankets. He always makes them big enough for the two of them to play in together and sometimes me!! They have way to much fun together. Mike leaves tomarrow for California for the shepards conferance, poor guy: ) He has been sure to remind me EVERYDAY that he will be eating IN AND OUT and that the weather will be in the mid to upper 70s.

OH BOY!! he's talking about bring in the tent to play in. I think he is going to miss her a lot.

I'm taking a water aerobics class three days a week and I'm having fun. The main topic of conversation in the pool seems to be what the local free senior movie is. To bad you have to be 55 to get in that leaves me and 1 or 2 other girls out. They are a fun group of ladies. The baby is doing great he is moving around like crazy, you can already see him moving from across the room (if you watch carefull) I don't remember Brittan moving so much so early on.

Brittan now has 5 teeth, says about 7 or 8 words (our favorite is "tickle"), throws a ball (kind of), runs everywhere in every way (forward, backward and in place).

OH NO!! He is blowing up an air mattress to bounce her on!!

Anyways Brittan is doing a great job keeping us on our toes. And Mike is doing a great job keeping me on mine!! :)

Well, I should go supervise for awhile. Hope all is well!!
